Jan 24, 2011 4:16 PM

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga has had another record-breaking semester in the classroom.

UTC topped several program records for academic success in the fall, including setting a new benchmark with a 2.95 overall student-athlete grade-point-average.

This is the sixth consecutive term the Mocs have raised their overall gpa.

"We have increased our overall grade-point-average more than one-tenth of a point in each of the last three years," stated UTC Director of Athletics Rick Hart.  "This continuous improvement is not only a testament to the hard work of our student-athletes, but it also shows the commitment to comprehensive excellence by our coaches, staff and University community."
